#BisquitCognac at Parc Ferme’!
 
I guess everyone knows that we are huge fans of Bisquit Cognac! So every time we get the opportunity to indulge in some of this beautiful cognac, we grab it with both hands!
 
What made this ever more appealing was the fact that this dinner will take place at Parc Ferme. One of the places we haven’t been to yet! Yay! Excitement!

I was immediately impressed as we walked in – Parc Ferme is a rather intimate and stylishly decorated restaurant. And I’ve probably driven past there SO many times, and never realised what a beautiful spot it is.

With a delicious Bisquit cocktail in hand, I was getting more and more excited as I took a sneak peak at the menu. Oh my goodness, we were in for a treat!!

All the dishes were created especially for this evening, and EVERYTHING was simply delicious!

Definitely one of the best food pairing dinners we have attended in a while.

Due of Deep-fried spaghetti prawns served on top-a-tian of avocado & tomato and seared tuna coated in seven spices accompanied with a wasabi mayonnaise

A beautiful combination of flavours and textures!

This was followed by three, yes three, main courses.  I originally thought that we will have to choose only one of the three – and even then I would’ve struggled to make a decision.  When it comes to choosing from a menu I can be EXTREMELY indecisive – ask my husband!

The main dishES were paired with the Bisquit VSOP.  The VSOP (Very Special Old Pale) has got a rich amber colour, and is a lot more oaky that the Bisquit VS.

Roast beef tenderloin with polenta gratin, served with morel jus flambeed with Bisquit Cognac

Duck confit with potato parmentier served with Bisquit Cognac Orange Sauce

Crusted seared salmon with sauteed asparagus and served with a creamy peppered cognac sauce

I am sure you will agree that after all those sublime dishes, you will need a bit of a palate cleanser – or as Parc Ferme called it, a ‘pre-dessert’.  This Mango and Bisquit XO breeze sure packed a punch, ice cold goodness!

Yes, we had like 100 dishes already, but I didn’t want it to end….  Luckily the Grande Finale was still coming!  Yay!

Yes, that was the perfect finish to a scrumptious menu.

What a fantastic food pairing dinner!  I won’t even attempt to pick a favourite – when it comes to the food or the cognac.  Well done Parc Ferme and Bisquit, this was fantastic. Thanks for hosting us!
