It is such a fantastic concept for those who are looking for fuss free entertaining.   So how about having your very own personal chef preparing a feast in the comfort of your own home? They offer flexible menu options to fit your individual needs, dietary requirements and budget.

Speaking of budget, can you believe that you can get all that for as little as R350 per person?  Think romantic nights in, corporate functions, celebrations with friends – Chef & Guests will be right there to assist.  Just a click away – you can arrange most dining experiences online on https://chefnguests.co.za/hire-a-chef.

Chef & Guests will take care of prepping, cooking and serving your meal. And they will even clean up afterwards and do the dishes. I told you it is fuss free!

We experienced this in person a couple of weekends ago.

Our private chef for the night was Chef Devansena Padayachi.

Chef Devasena started us off on a decadent first course of butter prawn and scallops, served with cauliflower and broccoli risotto.

Our main course was equally impressive.  Hickory smoked hake with seasonal veggies and creamy herb mash.

And the grand finale! Chocolate mousse cake, chocolate ganache tartlet and meringue – served with Häagen-Dazs Macadamia ice cream.

I know right?? Totally delish!

Vriesenhof Wines‘ Chardonnay and Pinotage added some extra flair to this scrumptious menu.

After our special dining experience with Chef & Guests I decided to do a little more research on this interesting concept.  I learnt that this up and coming company is relatively new on the scene, so still in their (very ambitious) baby shoes.  One of their core values are to focus on job creation, as well as the promotion of culinary excellence and experience.  They are operating in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town with plans to expand to most of the major centres in South Africa in the near future.

They are currently on the lookout for talented chefs to join them, so do check out https://chefnguests.co.za/

A special mention to Heather Hook and Lloyd Loots for organising our Chef & Guest experience and hosting us!
