A couple of weeks ago I was very fortunate to be invited to an intimate and exclusive event, hosted by Spier Wine Estate.
And I must say, it was one of the most memorable events I have attended in a very long time.
Why do I say so? Well, for starters – it was at the most stunning venue. A gorgeous private residence in Westcliff….
Can you imagine a more perfect spot for sundowners?
What made the #SpierMyWay evening even more unique was the fact that it was so laid back. Yes, sometimes you only want to relax in a luxurious environment, with a glass of marvelous MCC and soothing music. Bliss.
No formal seating, no speeches, no complexities – the wine and company spoke for itself.
I can still remember as a child how we used to go on holiday with my parents, and Spier Wine Estate always being one of their favourite stops on the Wine Route. Of course my brother and me were bored stiff when the adults went winetasting – little did I know what the future held! #WineSipperOfNote
I had the opportunity to chat with legendary winemaker Frans K Smit, as well as the winemaker of their organic wine range, Tania Kleintjes.
Of course these two winemakers are extremely passionate about Spier and the wine they make. It was intriguing to hear more about this history, the present and the future of this historical wine estate.
Just as I am passionate about their MCC, Creative Block 3 – and as I discovered on the evening, Creative Block 2! Fell in love with it – what a gorgeous blend!
Do you know the story behind the Creative Block range? Read more here, it is such an amazing tale: Spier The Creative Block
Between sipping some beautiful wines, feasting from the impressive harvest table, and conversing and mingling with fellow wine lovers and awesome people, this was such a great night out.
Thank you so much for hosting me Spier Wine Estate. It was such a fantastic opportunity to do #SpierMyWay! The only way.
