Have you seen the Fair Cape Dairies products on the shelves recently? I started noticing them a few months ago in my local Pick ‘n Pay, and what caught my attention was the delicious range of desserts and flavoured milk. Who doesn’t enjoy a decadent dairy treat now and again? And yes, they have lactose-free products as well.
The first product I actually bought was the Fair Cape Caramel Dessert. What can I say, you had me at ‘Caramel’.
And, ladies and gentlemen, the Caramel Dessert is absolutely delicious! I wanted to make more portions of this dessert, but alas – I finished most of the Caramel Dessert even before I got started! *facepalm*
So here is my Caramel and Yogurt Dessert:
4 x Fair Cape Dairies Caramel Dessert
500ml Fair Cape Dairies Full Cream Yogurt
50g crushed macadamia nuts
50g finely chopped dates
1 packet store-bought ginger biscuits crushed finely
Mix the Caramel Dessert, Yogurt, macadamia nuts and dates together.
In 4 glass containers, add one layer of the Caramel Dessert mixture – fill about 1/2 way. Add a layer of ginger biscuits, add another layer of the Caramel Dessert mixture – and finish off with a layer of ginger biscuit crumbs.
And that is it! How easy is that?
